Biography
Baltimore, Maryland, greeted the world with Doc Crane on 22 April 1846. Within months he was stealing scenes, and by 1915 he had slipped into three flickering one-reel adventures—Lord John's Journal, its Manhattan sequel Lord John in New York, and the campus caper The College Orphan—cementing a brief but indelible screen presence. Sunset found him for the last time in California on 17 April 1920.
