Biography
Actor, composer, songwriter ("The Swing Waltz"), pianist, producer and author, educated in college and then a pianist in dance orchestras. He produced, wrote, and performed in his own network radio series "Ed East and Polly." Joining ASCAP in 1942, his other popular-song compositions include "What Is Love?," "Twilight in Granada," "Pig Latin Song," "Nettie, Nitwit of the Network," "What a Beautiful Morning," and "Good Evening".
