Biography
Detroit, 12 May 1894: the curtain rose on Edna Hibbard. By 1915 she was already flickering across nickelodeon screens—first dodging rooftops in *The Apaches of Paris*, then trading punches in *The Fight*. Two years later she stitched heartbreak into the silent tapestry of *The Weavers of Life*. Off-camera, her leading men multiplied faster than plot twists: Lester Bryant, John C. Seager Jr., Stuart Sage, and finally Broadway’s own ringmaster, stage-manager Philip Hart Dunning. The final fade-out came on 26 December 1942 in New York City, but the reels still spin.
