Biography
Édouard Durand first drew breath in France in 1871, stepped before the camera as the defiant hero of *Robin Hood Outlawed* (1912), plotted darkly in *The Conspiracy* (1914), and asked the dangling question *Love, Honor and—?* (1919). Off-screen, he shared his life with actress Madeline Foster. His final curtain fell on 31 July 1926, far from Parisian streets, in Port Chester, New York.
