Biography
A winter baby, Edward Clisbee arrived in Santa Rosa, California, on 29 December 1878. Between 1914 and 1916 he slipped in front of the camera three times—charging through the South African veldt in *The Boer War*, swashbuckling across *The Social Pirates*, and saluting in *Shannon of the Sixth*. After the lights dimmed he settled in Wenatchee, Washington, where he died on 24 July 1936.
