Biography
Edwin Carewe, 38 and twice a husband already—his first marriage in 1905 has vanished from the record books—wed 17-year-old Mary Akin, a rising starlet barely out of high school. Between 1925 and 1932 the couple booked two weddings and three births: Sally Ann arrived first (1925), William followed two years later, and after a brief split and remarriage Carol Lee completed the trio in 1932.
