Biography
Edwin DeWolf stepped before the camera when the medium was still wet with ink: in 1914 he helped unleash *Cocaine Traffic; or, the Drug Terror*, a nickelodeon jolt that warned audiences of white-powder doom. A year later he returned twice more—first as the shadowy hero of *Just Retribution*, then as the shrewd barrister in *The Attorney for the Defense*, sealing a brief but indelible trilogy of silent-era suspense.
