Biography
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Edwin Harley entered the world on July 17, 1848, eventually finding his path to the burgeoning silver screen. He earned recognition for his performances in mid-1910s cinema, most notably in the 1915 productions Blackbirds and The Wayward Son, as well as the 1917 adaptation of Treasure Island. After a long life spanning the dawn of the film industry, Harley passed away in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 29, 1933.
