Biography
Copenhagen greeted Emmanuel Larsen on 18 September 1865, and by the time the city’s nickelodeons flickered to life, he was already stepping into their glow. Between 1913 and 1915 he gave face and voice to Et Syndens Barn, Ansigtet bag Ruden, and Flyverspionen, anchoring Denmark’s fledgling screen with a steady, memorable presence. Off-camera he shared life’s scenes with Lovise Winther, later with Louise Hvilsom. The curtain fell on 16 June 1917, but the images he left behind still roll, silent yet eloquent, through Danish film history.
