Biography
April 1894, Chicago’s restless streets delivered Faye Cusick into the world. Within two decades she had slipped into flickering silence, haunting three now-legendary one-reelers: the shadow-laden *Mystery of Edwin Drood* (1914), the opium-scented *Yellow Traffic* that same year, and, two springs later, the languid, incense-wreathed *Lotus Woman* (1916).
