Biography
Floyd Buckley entered the world on 21 October 1877 in Chatham, New York, and spent the next seven decades turning silence into spectacle. Early serial-moviegoers remember his voice slicing through the weekly cliffhangers of The Perils of Pauline (1914), his face flickering in The Seven Pearls (1917), and his wits matching wits with a mechanical man in The Master Mystery (1918). Off-screen he shared his life with actress Juliet Morena. The final curtain fell on 14 November 1956 in New York City, but the reels he left behind still whir with adventure.
