Biography
New York City’s hustle birthed Frank O’Connor on April 11, 1881, and the stage lights soon pulled him west. He spent his life toggling between greasepaint and megaphone, steering three early-talkie landmarks: the courtroom shakedown The Lawful Cheater (1925), the big-top melodrama Call of the Circus (1930), and the séance thriller The Mystic Circle Murder (1938). After nearly four decades of cueing cameras and calling “Action,” he took his final bow in Los Angeles on November 22, 1959.
