Biography
Boston whispered Frank Sheridan into the world on 11 June 1869, and by the time the reels began to spin he had already traded Beantown cobblestones for greasepaint. Between 1917’s moral tempest Enlighten Thy Daughter and 1930’s rail-yard thriller Danger Lights, he slipped into dozens of skins—gruff fathers, crooked judges, hearts split by pride—until 1936’s Conflict crowned his long march across the screen. Off-camera, two marriages—first to Edna M. Carrol, later to Catherine T. McNulty—wrote the private scenes no audience ever saw. The California sun finally lowered on him 24 November 1943, leaving Hollywood a little quieter, a little less lived-in.
