Biography
Before talkies had found their voice, Frank Smiley had already staked out territory on the silent screen. In 1912 alone he appeared in the backwoods drama *The Moonshiner's Task* and the tangled romance *Two Women and One Man*, then resurfaced three years later in the 1915 morality tale *The Road o' Strife*.
