Biography
Born in the noisy heart of The Bronx on 22 August 1909, Freddie Verdi stepped onto celluloid before he could spell his own name. By 1918 he was already glowing in The Light Within; three years later he stole scenes in Cousin Kate, and in 1923 he slipped through the glittering shadows of The Glimpses of the Moon. The cameras eventually stopped rolling, and on 11 August 1951 the quiet town of Wood-Ridge, New Jersey became his final set.
