Biography
A son of Washington, D.C., entered the world in 1869 as Geoffrey Stein. Within a few breathless seasons of the new century he stepped before the camera, lending his presence to the espionage whirlwind *An Affair of Three Nations* in 1915 and, five years later, to the sweeping drama *Life*. His final curtain fell on 28 May 1930, far from the capital’s bustle, in the quiet Long Island village of Amityville, New York.
