Biography
Stockholm greeted Georg Fernqvist on 27 March 1883, and the capital’s stages and studios kept him busy for the next seven decades. First flickering across screens in 1912’s *The Springtime of Life*, he later slipped into the shadows of 1915’s *Madame de Thebes* before re-emerging in 1943 as part of *Life in the Country*. The curtain finally fell on 23 December 1954, closing a career that had spanned the birth of Swedish cinema to its golden age.
