Biography
Somerville, Massachusetts, greeted George E. Mack’s first breath on 28 November 1865, and by the time the silent-film era flickered to life he had stepped in front of the camera, lending his presence to Wildfire in 1915, then to both The Red Widow and Reforming Rubbering Rosie the following year. Off-screen, he shared his life with actress Mabel Strickland. On 21 May 1948, he drew his final breath in Cheyenne, Wyoming, closing the curtain on an 82-year journey.
