Biography
Philadelphia greeted George Nash on July 1, 1865, and the footlights soon claimed him. Between silents and talkies he lent his presence to The Jungle in 1914, rode into Yorktown a decade later, and stepped into F. Scott Fitzgerald’s glittering tragedy for its first screen outing in 1926. Off-camera he shared his life with Julia Hay; the final curtain fell on December 30, 1944, in Amityville, Long Island.
