Biography
A Bronx boy who arrived on 28 April 1898, George Tobin swapped tenement skylines for klieg lights and—barely old enough to shave—stepped before the camera in 1915’s From the Valley of the Missing. The one credit was enough; he slipped out of frame and into ordinary life, eventually trading Atlantic winds for Pacific sunsets. He took his final bow in Los Angeles on 8 September 1979.
