Biography
Montrose, Angus, greeted the arrival of George W. Anson on 25 November 1847, and the footlights soon beckoned him from Scotland to the silver screen. Between 1914 and 1920 he gave life to three surviving films: the political thriller *The President’s Special*, the moral drama *The Builder of Bridges*, and the aptly titled *Desire*.
