Biography
Georgia O’Ramey greeted 1884’s New Year’s Day frost in Fredericktown, Ohio, and grew up to trade small-town quiet for the flickering lights of early Hollywood. In 1914 she stepped before the hand-cranked cameras in The $5,000,000 Counterfeiting Plot, anchoring the crime thriller with a presence that briefly made her a marquee name. Off-screen she shared her life with Robert Griffin; on-screen she vanished too soon. On 2 April 1928 she drew her final breath in New Haven, Connecticut, closing the curtain at forty-four.
