Biography
A century-long story began on 3 September 1909 in Cleveland, Ohio, the day Georgie Stone entered the world. Before he turned ten he had already traded schoolrooms for studio lots, stealing scenes in Gretchen the Greenhorn (1916), dodging scimitars in Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves (1918), and sharing the screen with a young cowboy in Just Pals (1920). The cameras eventually stopped rolling, but Stone kept going for another nine decades, finally closing the curtain on 25 April 2010 in Denver, Colorado—one hundred years after the lights first came up.
