Biography

Long before the talkies, Germaine Pelisse was already flickering across nickelodeon screens: first slipping through medieval corridors in 1913’s *The Duke’s Talisman*, then as a swashbuckler’s confidante in 1917’s *Barberousse*, and finally—four years later—in the Jules-Verne adventure *Mathias Sandorf* of 1921.
