Biography
Giuseppina Gemelli stepped before the camera when cinema itself was still learning to walk: in 1913 she breathed life into Renzo and Lucia’s world in “The Betrothed,” returned in 1914 to haunt the trenches of “L’ordinanza,” and by 1920 was staring down mortality itself in “L’uomo che vide la morte.”
