Biography
Born in Breslau on 12 January 1888, Hans Halder first stepped before the camera as an actor, later slipping behind it as an assistant director. Audiences remember him from the 1937 drama *The Kreutzer Sonata*, the 1931 romance *Wochenend im Paradies*, and the 1941 fashion-fuelled comedy *Das himmelblaue Abendkleid*. He took his final bow in Berlin on 21 September 1973.
