Biography
Paris welcomed Harold Meltzer on 18 July 1888, and by 1914 he had stepped before the camera for *The Ticket-of-Leave Man*, launching a brief but memorable silent-era career. He followed with *Always in the Way* (1915) and the romantic fantasy *When Love Is King* (1916), then slipped from the spotlight as quietly as he had entered it. Nearly six decades later, he closed his final scene in Charleston, South Carolina, during October 1974.
