Biography
A Londoner who first drew breath in 1850, Harry Braham swapped the fog of England for the klieg lights of early cinema, lending his stage-honed presence to The Fight (1915), Suppressed Evidence (1912), and The Vengeance of Heaven (1913). Off-screen, he shared his life with Elizabeth “Lizzie” Watson, his wife and most enduring scene-partner. His final curtain fell on 21 September 1923, on Staten Island, New York, a long Atlantic crossing from the city where his story began.
