Biography

Born in the heart of Tipton, Iowa, on March 22, 1877, Harry Carr eventually traded the Midwest for the burgeoning glitz of the silver screen. A versatile talent who mastered both the pen and the spotlight, Carr is best remembered for his contributions to cinematic works such as the 1928 dramas Tropical Nights and The Blue Danube, along with the 1931 film Hay que casar al príncipe. Away from the cameras, he was devoted to his wife, Alice. His life’s final chapter drew to a close in Los Angeles, California, on January 10, 1936.
