Biography
Harry Pilcer first drew breath on 29 April 1885 amid the electric chaos of New York City. Decades later, cinema audiences would know him for slicing through high society in *The Razor’s Edge* (1946), spinning fairy-tale charm in *Cinderella* (1937), and embodying the elusive ideal in the silent-era reverie *La femme rêvée* (1929). His final curtain fell on 14 January 1961 along the sun-drenched Promenade de la Croisette in Cannes, Alpes-Maritimes, France.
