Biography
Harry Redding entered the world in 1882 and spent the next six-and-a-half decades trading make-believe for a living. Between 1915 and 1925 he slipped into other skins on three surviving occasions: as the wronged fiancé in The Other Girl, the luckless target of Fate’s Boomerang, and the smitten dreamer of Soul-Fire. When the final curtain fell on 9 March 1949, it dropped in New York City, the same metropolis that had once lit his name on theater marquees.
