Helen Hilton stepped in front of the camera just as the silent era was finding its voice. In 1914 she traded the New York sidewalk for The Brute’s flickering lights, then sprinted straight into two 1915 releases—The Game and the whirlwind comedy How Molly Malone Made Good—before the credits could even finish rolling.
