Biography
Camera operator turned shadow-play pioneer, Herbert Bostwick slipped behind the lens just as movies were learning to talk—though he never let them. In 1910 he framed the fog-choked clues of *A Case of Identity*, five years later he salted the Maine coast with salty humor for *Cap’n Eri*, and by 1917 he was choreographing the strike-line tensions that crackle through every reel of *Strife*.
