Biography
A winter baby, Holger Bjerre arrived in Denmark on 23 December 1885 and spent the next seventy years turning that quiet start into a life of flickering celluloid. Between 1932 and 1944 he slipped into three very different skins: the gambler’s sidekick in *Skal vi vædde en million?*, the hunted man of *En forbryder*, and the shadow chasing *Mordets melodi*. The cameras stopped rolling for him on 16 October 1956, but the frames he left behind still move.
