Ilmari Unho was born on 22 October 1906 in Uusikaupunki, Finland. He was a writer and director, known for Kalle-Kustaa Korkin seikkailut (1949), Kilroy sen teki (1948) and Syntynyt terve tyttö (1943). He was married to Salli Karuna and Kaisu Leppänen. He died on 2 April 1961 in Pori, Finland.
