Biography
Born beneath the Independence, Ohio sun on 4 July 1853, Inda Palmer grew up to trade small-town quiet for the flicker of nickelodeon lamps. Between 1912 and 1916 she stepped before hand-cranked cameras, animating Nicholas Nickleby’s tangled fortunes, sparking chaos in Crossed Wires, and tightening suspense in The Net. Four months shy of her seventieth birthday, she drew her final breath in the wooded hush outside Ridgewood, New Jersey, on 26 April 1923.
