Biography
Born under the gas-lights of Trenton, New Jersey, on 29 May 1892, Irene Tams stepped onto the flickering silent screen early enough to leave ghost-prints on three surviving films: Lola and Alone in New York, both rushed into cinemas in 1914, and the 1922 feature Determination. After the cameras stopped turning, she slipped from public view, closing her final scene in Alliance, Ohio, on 12 November 1962.
