Irma Perrot stepped before the camera long before Hollywood had streetlights—first in 1908 for the temperance shocker *Drink*, then eleven years later as the blind girl groping through *Dans les ténèbres*, and finally in 1925 as the haunting fiancée in Marcel L’Herbier’s dreamlike *The Late Mathias Pascal*.
