Biography
Colorado welcomed Irma Sorter on 3 November 1904, and by age twelve she had already stepped in front of the camera, bringing a restless spark to the silent screen. Between 1916 and 1917 she slipped into three dramatically different skins: an enslaved soul fighting for freedom, a child glimpsing heaven, and a woman undone by a single photograph. When the lights dimmed on her film career she slipped quietly into private life, settling in Santa Clara, California, where she died on 3 September 1968.
