Jack Terry

Biography

Jack Terry arrived in 1864 and spent the next seven-and-a-half decades slipping in and out of personas. Between 1914 and 1925 he stepped before the camera three documented times: first as the adventurer McVeagh amid Pacific atolls, then as a townsman caught West of the Water Tower, and finally as a returning native in Old Home Week. Off-screen he answered to one constant—his wife, Mabel—until the final curtain fell on 9 October 1940 at Belmont Hill, Massachusetts.
