Biography
Before talkies took over, Jacques Burg slipped through the flicker of early German cinema like a mischievous ghost: he helped pull the strings on the marriage mayhem of Die Firma heiratet in 1931, stirred up trouble as the impish Teufelchen back in 1915, and first stepped before the camera for The Pride of the Firm in 1914, when the medium itself was still learning to walk.
