Biography
James Humphrey stepped in front of the camera when movies still had that new-reel smell: he helped lull audiences to sleep as the slumber-inducing hero of *Little Boy Blue* in 1912, then twice returned to the screen in 1914—first surviving blazing danger in *Through Fire to Fortune* and later testing the bonds of kinship in *Strength of Family Ties*.
