Before the roaring twenties had a chance to roar, Jean Stewart had already flashed across the nickelodeon sky: three one-reel meteors in barely two seasons. 1915 found her among The Seven Sisters, trading secrets in flickering parlors; the next year she slipped into the wilderness for Nanette of the Wilds, then swapped mossy forests for city shadows in The Fool. By the time most audiences learned her name, the projectors had cooled and the credits had rolled, leaving only those three titles—bright, brief, and impossible to rewind.
