Biography
Born in Helsinki on 29 April 1867, Jenny Tschernichin-Larsson first drew breath in the Grand Duchy’s chill air, then stepped onto Scandinavian screens and stages to make her own warmth. She survives on celluloid as the fierce heart of *Kiss of Death* (1916), the sly pivot of *Värdshuset’s hemlighet* (1917), and the housemaid who unsettles the Österman brothers in 1925’s *Bröderna Östermans huskors*. Between roles she sharpened her pen, turning stories into scripts and scraps of life into dialogue. Stockholm claimed her final curtain on 15 June 1937, yet every flicker of those early Nordic reels still carries her unmistakable spark.
