Biography
Before talkies had found their voice, John Boone had already slipped into cinema’s shadows. In 1915 he cracked safes on-screen as the gentleman bandit of *Alias Jimmy Valentine*, slipped through moral loopholes in 1919’s *The Right to Lie*, then confronted the color-line in 1920’s *Birthright*, leaving three distinct footprints in the still-wet cement of silent Hollywood.
