Biography
A midwinter baby, John Burke arrived in Keokuk County, Iowa, on 25 February 1859, and fifty-five years later stepped before the cameras for Thanhouser’s cliff-hanging serial *The Million Dollar Mystery* (1914). The reels have outlived him; he left the stage for good on 14 May 1937.
