Biography
A midwinter baby, John Burton arrived in Wisconsin on 7 January 1853. He grew up to trade prairie winds for klieg lights, carving out a silent-screen career that flickered brightest in The Ghost Breaker (1914), glowed again in The Fair Barbarian (1917), and sailed into memory with Huck and Tom (1918). His final curtain fell in Los Angeles on 25 March 1920.
