Biography
Buffalo, New York, greeted John Lorenz with winter air on 6 December 1886, and the stage soon beckoned. Within a handful of seasons he had slipped into flickering silence, stampeding across screens in 1915’s “The Man Trail,” conning audiences the same year in “The Great Deceit,” and stirring moral whispers in 1916’s “That Sort.” After the cameras cooled, he slipped out of the spotlight, living quietly until 30 April 1972, when Paramus, New Jersey, closed his final curtain.
