Biography
Born among the print shops and gin palaces of Clerkenwell in 1857, Judd Green grew up where the roar of London’s streets could sound like applause. By the early 1920s that childhood din had turned real: his name flickered across British screens as the wily Baba Mustapha in Chu-Chin-Chow (1923), the blustering Dr. McKenna in General John Regan (1921), and the quietly menacing murder-suspect in The Resident Patient (1921). After the last reel spooled out, he slipped back into private life and, in 1932, took a final bow in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.
