Biography
A winter baby, Juliette Day arrived in Boston on 8 December 1892 and traded New England snow for California spotlights within a quarter-century. Between clapperboards in 1917 she zipped through three whirlwind comedies—*The Calendar Girl*, *Betty and the Buccaneers*, and *The Rainbow Girl*—giving each a jolt of her brisk, bright energy. Off-screen she collected surnames the way some collect programs, marrying first Paul LeBricque Whitney and later Quentin Frederick Haig. Four decades after her final fade-out, sunset found her on 18 September 1957 in Huntington, Long Island, where the curtain rang down on a life first scripted in Massachusetts and performed from coast to coast.
